Minimally, a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of direct experience OR a Master’s degree 2+ years of direct experience

RTOS and multi-threaded architecture including timing analysis and profiling

Demonstrable experience with wireless communications – e.g. Bluetooth, WiFi, Zigbee, RFID, GSM; including standards and protocols, hardware, stacks, and firmware

Demonstrable experience with hardware design including use of microcontrollers, power conditioning and distribution

Strong knowledge of statistics (e.g., Bayesian inference, Bootstrap, hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, maximum likelihood, Monte Carlo. Programming ability in Python or R, experience using the PyData stack for analytics/machine learning (especially, scikit-Learn, pandas, Numpy, MatPlotLib, SciPy). Experience using Hadoop (HDFS, Hive, HBase, Spark, MLLib). Good knowledge of SQL for accessing and processing data (PostgreSQL preferred but general SQL knowledge more important

Knowledge of UI frameworks (either Android, iOS, XML), MVP application design and complex, reactive touch based UI. Strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design optimised for embedded systems. Domain expertise in embedded/device systems, mobile optimized websites, mobile web browsers, client application development for Windows/Mac (Chrome, WebKit, etc.), third party libraries for either Android or iOS.
